We’ve all looked through our parents’ photo albums and seen long gone grandparents, uncles & aunts, pets and places. We’ve all reminisced, remembered, and talked about the time, people and places in the pictures. We’ve all felt closer, more connected afterwards, as the pictures bring memories flooding back. That’s the power of photography.

The story of your wedding day is of you, your family and your friends. I try to document the day to provide a graceful, artistic, timeless, sometimes humorous record of the people, places and happenings that can’t be repeated. I work discretely, seeing and capturing the real emotions, the real events, as they happen without intruding, directing, or posing people endlessly.

I use a lot of black & white for its timeless classic look, because it gets straight to the heart of the subject without distraction, because it is about textures and emotions, light, and the absence of light. Colour images are also used where appropriate.

All of the pictures on this website are of real people, at real weddings, not of models in especially set-up shoots, designed to present the photographer in the best possible light. My sample albums are of full weddings from start to finish, not selections of best shots from dozens of weddings.
